The Great American Brass Band Festival

World-class bands come together in what has been called “the most prominent and unusual music festival in the country.”

Come out and enjoy the 28th Brass Band Festival featuring live brass music, an Americana style Parade, Saturday night picnic, free children’s activities, a Swing Dance, Yoga in the Park, a 5 K run, and New Orleans’ style all day street party on Friday. More Info >>

It starts with YOU! Lace up your sneakers and join us for the American Diabetes Association’s Step Out Walk to Stop Diabetes at Lexington’s Keeneland Race Course! Participants are changing the future by making a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes, and you can too! Register for our 5K run (participants may also walk this route) and a 1-mile fun walk today and meet the RHR Step Out Team! More Info >>


Bike Lexington Family Fun Ride

Free registration begins at 8:00am at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza on Short Street and Limestone.  The Family Fun Ride caters to all cycling levels and skills on two wheels. More Info >>


Lexington Council Garden Club: Garden Tour

Whether you are a gardener, a homeowner seeking new ideas or just enjoy beauty and tranquility, come out and visit some of Lexington’s most inspiring gardens. Rain or shine. Tickets may be purchased at King’s Garden Center,Michler’s, Best of Flowers, Springhouse Gardens and at the gardens on the day of the tour. Proceeds from the tour go to grants for beautification projects across the city! The Egyptian Event: For the Love of the Horse

Festival of the Bluegrass

KY Horse Park

This annual jamboree features the best Bluegrass bands in Kentucky and top national performers. This 4-day event provides Bluegrass music performances as well as kids camps and activities for all ages. The festival will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park Campground, and campsites are available for the event. More Info >>

Man o War Mural

Unveiling the Man O’ War Commemorative Mural

June 10
Village Idiot Pub – Short Street Lexington, KY

Dominating the drive through downtown’s busy Short Street, a large form-commissioned mural will be unveiled on Saturday, June 10th to commemorate his win in the 1920 Belmont Stakes. Painted on the side of the Village Idiot Pub building, the mural will feature a racing moment in the great horse’s life. A street party around the mural will be held to commemorate the unveiling. Lexington Rodeo

Lexington Rodeo 2017

The Lexington Rodeo is sanctioned by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association (PRCA) and produced by the Rotary Club of Lexington. It is the only PRCA rodeo in Kentucky and was voted the Best New Rodeo of 2015 by the PRCA cowboys GLC. The shows start at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday night.
