You will have loads of fun! Bring the kids along and let them experience the Kiddie corn maze, hay maze, straw crawl, petting area, pumpkin picking, and nightly bonfire with free marshmallow roasting!

12th Annual Hot Rod Hullabaloo

Hosted by Shelby’s Speed and Kustom, the 12th Annual Hot Rod Hullabaloo will have a Downhill Hoodlum Race, Miss Hullabaloo Contest, and our Hot Wheels Drag Race for kids 12 & under. This is a great family event you won’t want to miss.

The annual Hot Rod Hullabaloo is coming up on Saturday September 1 (Labor Day Weekend), 10am-4pm, and we hope that you can be there! The show is focused on pre-’68 models, but all makes, models and newer vehicles are welcome to attend! There will be live music by Danny Dean and the Homewreckers, Rockabilly DJs, bbq, souvenirs, vendors, Miss Hullabaloo Pageant and the world famous “Hoodlum Down Hill Race”. We expect over 650 vehicles this year!

This hot rod get together is absolutely free to participate in! Shelby’s Way will be collecting donations for the cause (Bringing Awareness to Suicide Prevention) as well as selling t-shirts and other merchandise to raise money for the 501c3 non-profit. So, please spread the word to your friends and family about the event and the cause behind it.

Test yourself with an (un)pleasant trail run in distances of 5K, 10K, 25K or 50K.

Do it your way–run or walk, stroll or strut–we don’t mind.

Finish strong then show off your medal and celebrate with a craft brew!

The courses will take participants through The Preserve’s amazing spring scenery on a variety of single track and turf trails. End the day with a post-race party, complete with good beer and good friends. Overall, age group and participant awards included.

PB&J Series: Music Builds Literacy

Make some noise for LexPhil’s final Peanut Butter & Jelly Concerts of the 2017/2018 season, Music Builds Literacy! at the Lyric Theatre on Saturday, April 28, 2017 at 10 & 11 AM. LexPhil Presents: American Snapshots ?

Adventure through folklore and fantasy in American Snapshots! LexPhil kicks off the evening with John Harbison’s glitzy Foxtrot for Orchestra and an exuberant performance of Korngold’s Violin Concerto, featuring soloist William Hagen. Closing the concert, the magic of Copland’s Appalachian Spring Suite will delight audiences before a visually spectacular finish in Dave & Chris Brubeck’s Ansel Adams: America.

Spring Egg Hunt and Petting Zoo

Kick off the running and racing season in downtown Lexington at the 12th Annual Shamrock Shuffle 3K presented by Lexington Furniture and Stantec. Please join us to walk, shuffle, or run in this annual St. Patrick’s Day tradition! This year, the race is taking place on St. Patrick’s Day! The Shamrock Shuffle 3K is locally organized, and 100% of the proceeds stay local benefiting Lexington Habitat for Humanity.
