Lexington St. Patrick’s Parade & Festival

Join us in downtown Lexington this St. Patrick’s Day!Lexington’s St. Patrick’s parade is the city’s longest-running annual civic event. The parade and festival are part of an all-day celebration that begins at 8 a.m. with the 12th annual Shamrock Shuffle to benefit Lexington Habitat for Humanity. At 11 a.m., the “Blessing of the Keg” at the Alltech tents at Robert F. Stephens Courthouse kicks off the free festival. The parade begins at 1 p.m., rain or shine!

Dia De Los Muertos / Day of the Dead Festival

The Day of the Dead Festival is a true community event bringing together individuals, groups, students and teachers from the Latino and non-Latino communities.   Join the celebration and experience the rich visual, musical, dance and culinary traditions of this holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and parts of Central and South America.  The Festival includes live music and dance performances, traditional food, hands-on crafts, art exhibits and a gallery talk by the artists, a candlelight parade, and an exhibition of altars in the Old Episcopal Burying Ground.

HarvestLEX 2017

The Bluegrass Chapter of the KRA will host its inaugural 2017 Harvest Lex (presented by Visit LEX and Beyond Grits) in partnership with Manchester Music Hall.

Lexington’s finest restaurants, wineries, breweries and distilleries will be offering up tastes of their best harvest, in celebration of our community of great food and great people! 

Proceeds will benefit Kentucky ProStart and FoodChain Lexington.
