Join us as we celebrate Spring with Yoga on the rooftop of the Kentucky Castle!

Bring your yoga mat, relax and enjoy an hour of wellness in the fresh spring air. For all levels and ages, including beginners. Sessions are led by certified yoga instructors from locally owned Homegrown Yoga. See you on the rooftop!

If inclement weather, the class will be held in the Greenhouse.

“Another Fistful of Bullets!” A film production company is rehearsing and shooting scenes for an upcoming B-western movie, “Another Fistful of Bullets!” There are those who will go to great lengths to ensure that the movie is never made!

Kentucky Reptile Expo 2019

The NEW Kentucky Reptile Expo is held bi-monthly in Lexington. The show features captive bred reptiles and supplies from some of the top breeders in the country.
It is an excellent opportunity to see fascinating reptiles, amphibians, spiders, insects, and more, as well as learn more about them by talking with experts in their care. It is also a great way to save money since almost all animals and products are offered at wholesale prices, which may be over 50% lower than those of pet stores.

June means the start of summer – and there are so many great events to enjoy this month in Lexington and Central Kentucky!

American Diabetes Association 5-K Run/Walk
Saturday, June 4, 10am

We all need to do our part to Stop Diabetes and take steps to improve our health!  Participants in this popular event will not only have a great time and enjoy some good exercise, but they’ll also change the future and make a positive impact in the lives of those who are affected by diabetes!

Rector Hayden Agent John Sanders has worked tirelessly to lead our agents in fundraising efforts.  Join the RHR team as we walk on Saturday!!

Downtown Lexingtoon Corporation | Central Bank Thursday Night Live
Every Thursday, 4:30pm-9pm

Live music, local food and beverage vendors, and one of the hottest parties in town! The event takes place each week in Lexington at the Fifth Third Bank Pavilion at Cheapside Park (251 W. Main St), rain or shine.

Free Friday Flicks
Every Friday, 7pm-10pm

Held at Jacobson Park in Lexington.  Bring your lawn chairs, blankets and pack a picnic dinner or purchase concessions from one of the many vendors on-site.  No pets allowed.  The movie starts at dark, with pre-show activities at 7:00 pm!

Every Saturday, 7am-2pm
The Lexington Farmers Market has just about everything in season in Kentucky — including fruits, vegetables, eggs, meats, flowers, herbs, mushrooms, baked goods, coffee, honey, ice cream, jellies, jams, homemade soaps, doggy treats and much more! Held at the Fifth Third Bank Pavilion at Cheapside Park.

Southland Jamboree
Every Monday, 7pm

Enjoy a free Bluegrass music concert, bring a lawn chair or blanket and listen to some great Bluegrass music!  Held at the MoonDance at Midnight Pass Amphitheatre in Beaumont Circle (1152 Monarch Street, Lexington).

Big Band and Jazz 2016 (no website)
Every Tuesday, 7pm-8:30pm

Big Band & Jazz, one of Lexington’s longest running and most beloved concert series, features great jazz and big band music weekly.  Held at Moondance at Midnight Pass Amphitheatre in Beaumont Circle.  Bring your lawn chairs or blankets for seating.


43rd Annual Festival of the Bluegrass
Thursday, June 9 – Sunday, June 12

This annual festival, held at the Kentucky Horse Park, features many of the best Bluegrass bands in Kentucky and top national performers.

A Grand Night For Singing!
Friday, June 10 – Sunday, June 12.    Times: Friday/Saturday, 7:30pm; Sunday, 2:00pm

Presented by the UK Opera Theatre, at the UK Singletary Center for the Arts.  “A Grand Night for Singing!” is a musical revue showcasing the music of Richard Rodgers and the lyrics of Oscar Hammerstein II.

Lexington Rodeo 2016
Friday, June 17 – Saturday, June 18;  7:30pm

Held at the Kentucky Horse Park, this professional rodeo includes judged events like Bareback Riding, Saddlebronc Riding and Bull Riding – and timed events including Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Tie Down Roping & Barrel Racing.
