Bluegrass Classic Dog Show

Four days of all-breed conformation and obedience competition sponsored by the Lexington Kennel Club Inc., the Northern Kentucky Kennel Club Inc., and the Mid-Kentucky Kennel Club Inc. This show will include competition for more than 150 breeds, best-in-show competition, junior showmanship classes, obedience and rally, AKC Owner-Handler Series, Canine Good Citizen Test, and much more!

Or worse… Come join our studio audience as host Ryan Seashore and judges Simon Cowbell and Jennifer Highbridge bring our contest to a close! You can vote for the winner and perhaps catch a killer.

Cowboy Up for a Cure Rodeo

The 2019 Cowboy Up for a Cure Rodeo will be held at the Kentucky Horse Park’s Alltech Arena on Saturday, April 6th. Gates open at 6pm and the professional rodeo starts at 7!

Proceeds from the event further our efforts in supporting Central Kentucky pediatric patients and their families.

Cowboy Up for a Cure, Inc. was founded in 2013, to benefit children with various forms of pediatric cancer. Our goal is to raise awareness and to support a pathway to progress for families faced with this adversity.

Kentucky Horse Park Spring Opener Show

The Spring Opener horse show will be an unrated, two-day, open level show with English, Hunter classes to be held on Saturday, April 6th and Western Pleasure classes to be held on Sunday, April 7th. The show will offer competitors and their equine partners a wide variety of divisions and classes.

Discounted Pre Entry: $20.00 per class
Day of Entry: $25.00 per class
Stabling Fees: $35.00 per day
Equine Facility Fee: $10 per horse
Ground Fee (work off trailer): $35 per day

Kids Club Family Day

The Keeneland Kids Club is the Official Kids Club for Keeneland fans 12 and younger. During the race meet, Kids Club members and their families are invited to enjoy a special day at the races by receiving free general admission and access to reserved grandstand seating. Disney on Ice – presents Frozen

The complete adventure of the Academy Award® winning tale will be told live in this production, capturing the dynamic of two royal sisters, Anna and Elsa. Anna, a girl with an extraordinary heart, embarks on an epic journey to find her sister, the magical Elsa, who is determined to remain secluded as she finally feels free to test the limits of her powers. Rugged mountain man Kristoff, his loyal reindeer Sven, the lovable and hilarious snowman Olaf and the mystical trolls help Anna along the way in this story about love conquering fear. Comedy Off Broadway: Samuel J. Comroe

Samuel J. Comroe, a Los Angeles native, is a stand-up comedian who performs at over 100 clubs and colleges annually. He made his TV debut on TBS’ Conan, BET’s Real Husbands of Hollywood with Kevin Hart. In 2018 Samuel was a finalist on America’s Got Talent and can currently be seen on America’s Got Talent Champions Edition.  In addition to his TV appearances Sam was recently featured on All Def Digital’s Comedy Originals. He is also the winner of Ricky Gervais’ Comedy Competition, The San Francisco Comedy Competition, and has over 40,000 subscribers on his Youtube Channel. His comedy is made up of the trials and tribulations of living with Tourettes Syndrome since being diagnosed at age six and observational material based on his life experiences.

Three-Day Event, Land Rover

Now in its 41st year, the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event presented by MARS EQUESTRIAN (LRK3DE) is a thrilling competition featuring Olympic-level riders and horses from across the nation and around the world in what can best be described as an equestrian triathlon. Known as “The Best Weekend All Year,” LRK3DE is a multi-day, highly competitive event in which the world’s best horses and riders vie for their share of $400,000 in prize money, as well as a shot at the $350,000 Rolex Grand Slam of Eventing, which is awarded to any rider who wins the LRK3DE, Mitsubishi Motors Badminton, and Land Rover Burghley Five Star Events in succession.

The celebration will be held at LCA’s elementary campus, which is housed at Immanuel Baptist Church. Mr. Tebow’s presentation will focus on faith, service, and excellence.

Bluegrass Greensource presents GreenFest 2016, a one-day sustainable living festival featuring green living workshops and resources, eco-inspired activities for kids, community booths and green vendors, and food trucks, music and local beer. Bluegrass Stockdog Trials & The Sheep and Fiber Festival

The famous Bluegrass Classic Stockdog Trial will once again be held at Lexington’s Masterson Station Park on May 18-22, 2016, marking 54 years of border collie trials in the Bluegrass. This competition is one of the longest-running, largest, and most prestigious trials in the country. The competition draws top handlers from across the USA and Canada, as well as hundreds of local spectators. The Bluegrass Classic dates from at least 1960, and was held for many years at Walnut Hall Farm. It has been a favorite event at the Kentucky Horse Park, and then in Masterson Station Park since 1996. This event involves fabulous opportunities for photography involving dogs, sheep, people, and horses, all in the picturesque setting of Masterson Station Park. As a non-profit event we offer free admission to all, and we appreciate all forms of publicity that will make the community aware of the opportunity to watch these wonderful dogs at work.

Families and spectators are invited to bring their own dogs. Bring lawn chairs or picnic blankets, and enjoy the outdoors! The event runs continuously from dawn until dusk and there are spectator raffles, lunchtime concessions, numerous vendors and cold drinks available.

The 7th annual Kentucky Sheep & Fiber Festival, a natural fiber and local food event, showcases some of the nation’s finest fiber artists, yarn, products the Kentucky sheep and agriculture community and Kentucky Proud food producers. Once again, this year’s festival will include a series of classes, workshops and demonstrations in the fiber arts. The Heart Walk is the American Heart Association’s premiere event for raising funds to save lives from this country’s No. 1 and No. 5 killers – heart disease and stroke. Designed to promote physical activity and heart-healthy living, this event at Keeneland creates an environment that’s fun and rewarding for the entire family.

Mutt Strut

The Great Day Race & Festival

The Great Day is a full day of play for everyone. Sign up for The Great American Fitness Challenge, take an outdoor yoga class, learn Booiaka dance/exercise or see a jiu jitsu demonstration. 5th Annual KY Dachshund Derby & Lucky Pet Adoption

THE KY DACHSHUND DERBY in its 5th annual event has celebrated the dachshund breed and brought enthusiast from as far as Florida. This year is VERY SPECIAL. As rescues and shelters will be invited to join the event for one of the largest adoption events of its kind. Lucky Pet Adoption Day will feature many breeds of dogs all ready to find a forever home. Kathy McIntosh, director, says, “Its all about finding safe and loving homes for as many as we can…not just dachshunds.” The day is perfect too…for a beautiful spring day in May to bring it about. The event is sponsored by the KY Dachshund Rescue.
