Lauded for his “probing intellect and open-hearted vision” by the New York Times, pianist and composer Conrad Tao joins LexPhil for the final season concert. Tao’s vivid tone poem for orchestra, Pango, introduces his compositional accomplishments before treating audiences to his dazzling virtuosity in performance of Gershwin’s Piano Concerto in F. The unmatched exuberance of Bartok’s Concerto for Orchestra closes out the evening.
