Woodland Art Fair 2019

Woodland Art Fair has received several national, regional & local honors including being voted a Top 200 Fine Art & Design Show in the nation in 2007-2012 by Sunshine Artist Magazine, a Top 20 Event by The Southeast Tourism Society & a Top 10 Festival by The Kentucky Travel Industry Association. Brought to you by WestBanco and co-produced by the Lexington Art League and Lexington Parks and Recreation.

Railbird Festival

A Railbird is a horse racing enthusiast known for sticking close to the action, hanging on the rail as each contender comes barreling down the track.

This summer, the term will take on added meaning with a brand new music festival in Lexington, KY. 2 days. Multiple stages. World class artists. All at the historic grounds of Keeneland.

Railbird will celebrate the unrivaled culture and traditions of the Bluegrass State at the historic Keeneland Racecourse. A Kentucky experience, through and through, Railbird will be a truly one-of-a-kind event. The festival will be woven into the course grounds to create an unforgettable and immersive weekend centered around music, bourbon, equine culture and Lexington tradition.

Kentucky Reptile Expo 2019

The NEW Kentucky Reptile Expo is held bi-monthly in Lexington. The show features captive bred reptiles and supplies from some of the top breeders in the country.
It is an excellent opportunity to see fascinating reptiles, amphibians, spiders, insects, and more, as well as learn more about them by talking with experts in their care. It is also a great way to save money since almost all animals and products are offered at wholesale prices, which may be over 50% lower than those of pet stores.

A monthly pop-up open air-market/street festival held on the first Friday of every month May through December. Night Market highlights the creativity of local neighborhood businesses, artists, and nonprofits and brings people from all over the region to Lexington’s Northside.

Music On The Lawn

The greatest combination of live music, amazing food and a farm-fresh setting you could ever imagine! Head to Shaker Village for an evening on the lawn beside the historic Trustees’ Office and the Shaker Village garden. Music on the Lawn features live music, outdoor dining, drinks and specialty cocktails around the fire pits. Don’t forget to enjoy a marshmallow roast, grab a cocktail and then take in a special $5 after 5:00 tour. No admission is required, and music begins at 6:30 pm.

Coolmore America/Ashford Stud has recently announced that both Triple Crown winners American Pharoah and Justify will be going to Australia this summer for the breeding season there. They will not return to the United States until late fall. If you want an opportunity to see these magnificant animals before they head down under, there are two tours with available spots. The “One Sweet Tour” on May 10th and June 7th that include a stop at Ashford Stud along with Buffalo Trace and Rebecca Ruth Candy Factory.

Mayfest Arts Fair

Mayfest Presented by Republic Bank is a juried art fair with a focus on a casual, family-friendly atmosphere. Included are up to 100 Artist Vendors, performances by musicians, dancers, strolling performers, food concession vendors, and children’s activities including pony rides and children’s crafts. Attendance at the two-day event averages 25,000. If you are an artist and are interested in showcasing your work or are a concession vendor, apply at the link below.
