This Week’s Safety Tip
Safety Tip – Back to School Safety
In the coming days and weeks, children in many of our locations will be returning to school.
As you travel, stay alert for young people who are excitedly going to or from school.
- Watch for school buses and the children who are entering and exiting them.
- Follow posted speed limits within school zones.
- Drop off and pick up children as close to school as possible.
Don’t leave until they have entered the schoolyard or building. - Follow all local traffic rules, including:
- When a school bus flashes its yellow lights, vehicles from both directions should slow to a stop.
- When a school bus flashes its red lights and extends the stop sign, vehicles from both directions must stop.
