KEENELAND SPRING MEET 2018

Keeneland’s 2018 Spring Race Meet opens Friday, April 6, and continues through Friday, April 27. No racing will be held on Mondays or Tuesdays. 

Gates open at 11 a.m. with first post at 1:05 p.m. daily.

Highlights of the Spring Meet include the $1 million Toyota Blue Grass (G2) and $500,000 Central Bank Ashland (G1) on April 7. The races are worth 100 points apiece on the Road to the Kentucky Derby (G1) and Road to the Kentucky Oaks (G1), respectively.

LAND ROVER KY 3-Day Event

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the 1978 World Three-Day Event Championships at the Kentucky Horse Park, which developed into the long-standing annual Kentucky Three-Day Event, one of the world’s most prestigious — and popular equestrian events.

Without question, the Land Rover Kentucky Three-Day Event is one of the signature events in Lexington each year.”

Snowbird Dressage

Snowbird Dressage is a Kentucky Dressage Association sanctioned Dressage show.

The series will include USEA classes with the February and March shows, offering more excitement for competitors and spectators alike. Introductory, Training, First, Second, and Third and above levels will be exhibited.

Bulls, Bands and Barrels

Featuring some of the best bulls and bull riders in the Southeast, as well as some of the fastest equine to ever go around a three-barrel pattern.

The event will also rock Alltech Arena with a top country music artist, TYLER CHILDERS!

KY After Christmas Horse Sale

Keeneland Horse Sales 2018

Keeneland’s January Horses of All Ages Sale is noted for high-quality broodmare prospects and short yearlings (horses born the previous year) and for being among the final opportunities for breeders to obtain stock as breeding season nears. Spectators welcome.

CKRH Halloween Trail Ride & Used Tack Sale

Central Kentucky Riding for Hope invites you to participate in the fun activities that are part of the 2017 Halloween Trail Ride and Used Tack Sale on Saturday October 28-29, 2017 at the Kentucky Horse Park. Proceeds support CKRH in its mission of providing therapeutic riding and equine related activities to those with special needs.

Kentucky Horse Park Youth Riding Camp

Parents: plan your vacation to Lexington around a unique horse experience for your children. Explore the area on your own during the day while your children ride, learn about stable management, equine care and the history of the horse and explore behind the scenes at the Kentucky Horse Park. Open to all experience levels ages 8 to 16. Hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. leaving evenings are free for family activities.

Jump Start Horse Trials

The Jump Start Horse Trials is a 3-day-eventing competition. Riders will compete in Dressage, Cross Country and Show Jumping. This event features levels that are recognized by the United States Eventing Association, and/or the United States Equestrian Federation. All levels are sanctioned by the MidSouth Eventing and Dressage Association. All proceeds from the event benefit the Keeneland Pony Club.

Battle In The Saddle

The Kentucky Horse Park Foundation is proud to present the 2017 Battle in the Saddle Celebrity Team Penning competition. This exciting event pairs two amateur riders with a celebrity guest rider to compete to see who has the skills and bravery to pen a group of cattle in the quickest time.
