Keeneland Horse Sales 2018

Keeneland’s January Horses of All Ages Sale is noted for high-quality broodmare prospects and short yearlings (horses born the previous year) and for being among the final opportunities for breeders to obtain stock as breeding season nears. Spectators welcome.

Owl Night Hike

Learn about the owls of Central Kentucky and experience them in person on a night hike! Members of the Central Kentucky Audubon Society will share their knowledge during a hike through The Arboretum and into the woods where hikers will try to catch a peak at the mysterious birds. Departing from the Visitor Center at 5:30 p.m. bring binoculars and flashlights.

Recommended for ages 7+.

This program is completely outdoors; make sure to dress in warm layers. 

Suggested donation: $3 per person or $5 per family.

Dia De Los Muertos / Day of the Dead Festival

The Day of the Dead Festival is a true community event bringing together individuals, groups, students and teachers from the Latino and non-Latino communities.   Join the celebration and experience the rich visual, musical, dance and culinary traditions of this holiday that is celebrated in Mexico and parts of Central and South America.  The Festival includes live music and dance performances, traditional food, hands-on crafts, art exhibits and a gallery talk by the artists, a candlelight parade, and an exhibition of altars in the Old Episcopal Burying Ground.
