Join us in downtown Lexington this St. Patrick’s Day!Lexington’s St. Patrick’s parade is the city’s longest-running annual civic event. The parade and festival are part of an all-day celebration that begins at 8 a.m. with the 12th annual Shamrock Shuffle to benefit Lexington Habitat for Humanity. At 11 a.m., the “Blessing of the Keg” at the Alltech tents at Robert F. Stephens Courthouse kicks off the free festival. The parade begins at 1 p.m., rain or shine!

Christmas Parade in Richmond

The City of Richmond’s annual Christmas Parade is held the first Friday of December at 7:00pm.  Local businesses, civic organizations, schools and churches come out to sing Christmas Carols, ride of floats and offer gifts and candy to the crowds.  An award goes to the BEST FLOAT in each category that follows the theme of the year.

  • The parade line up will take place in the Alumni Coliseum Parking lot. All entries will be notified prior to the day of the parade with the lineup schedule and times. Please provide an email so we can send your information. If you do not have email, we will mail it to you. The parade will leave the lot at 6:45 p.m. in order to be Downtown by 7:00 p.m. Parade will happen rain or shine. Thank you for participating in the Richmond Christmas Parade. This year the parade will be held on December 2, 2016.

2016 Thriller & Halloween Parade!

Voted a Top 10 Halloween destination by USA Today, zombies will return to haunt downtown Lexington once again! The evening will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. with a dance showcase, fall foods and Halloween festivities at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza. Prior to the Thriller dance, will be a Halloween parade featuring ghosts, ghouls, superheroes, villains and costumed characters of all kinds. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the annual live performance of Michael Jackson’s groundbreaking video for Thriller. The Thriller dance will start at Quality and Main streets and proceed along Main Street ending at Mill Street. The dance will occur repeatedly along the route.
