This Week’s Safety Tip
Safety Tip – Staying Cool
When planning outdoor work or recreational activities, the right timing can help you stay cool and safe.
- To the extent possible, schedule your heaviest activities for the coolest parts of the day.
- Take regular rest breaks in a cool, shady location.
- Anticipate where and when trees and buildings will create shade, and try to schedule your outdoor activities throughout the day to be in shaded areas, avoiding direct sun whenever possible.
