Wilmore Arts & Crafts Festival “Meet Me at the Tracks”

Come see expert craftsmen and craftswomen and their wares from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.. Bring your friends to join you at the festival for your early Christmas shopping. Crafts have been juried, so expect to see quality handcrafted items! Visit historic Wilmore to browse through the fine art work and hand-crafted items offered by local artisans at the Wilmore Arts & Crafts Festival. 2016 Thriller & Halloween Parade!

Voted a Top 10 Halloween destination by USA Today, zombies will return to haunt downtown Lexington once again! The evening will kick-off at 6:30 p.m. with a dance showcase, fall foods and Halloween festivities at the Robert F. Stephens Courthouse Plaza. Prior to the Thriller dance, will be a Halloween parade featuring ghosts, ghouls, superheroes, villains and costumed characters of all kinds. This year marks the 15th anniversary of the annual live performance of Michael Jackson’s groundbreaking video for Thriller. The Thriller dance will start at Quality and Main streets and proceed along Main Street ending at Mill Street. The dance will occur repeatedly along the route. This event is brought to you by Lexington Parks & Recreation, Mecca Dance Studio and WRFL.

Booktacular Halloween Party

Join us for an evening of Halloween fun! Tickets include hors d’oeuvres, open bar, live entertainment & dancing, silent auction, and optional costume contest. Please dress in costume or black clothing for the occasion. We are raising funds to support the one-on-one Homework Help Program benefiting Lexington school-aged children through Lexington Public Library. Your support will directly impact our children’s future by giving them the tools and assistance they need in order to succeed in school and beyond.

Artist Michelle Armstong’s Lexington Murals

Frankfort Fall Arts Festival

Fall Arts Festival at Josephine Sculpture Park: Sunday, Sep. 11th from 11am-6pm

This hands-on festival connects the community with the arts & the land in the most experiential manner and offers a host of artistic experiences to the public. The KECU music stage presents musicians, dancers and storytelling while local artists & organizations conduct free demonstrations & activities where you can explore book binding, sculpture, pottery wheel, fabric dyeing, art scavenger hunts, walking tours & a few other surprises.

Visitors may also create their own cast aluminum relief sculpture to take home at the Hot Metal Pour or blow a glass ornament to keep ($30-35). Several art benches will be created and displayed at JSP as part of the community art exhibition and you can be part of that too! There is something for every age and ability at JSP! Soar above the sculptures in a hot air balloon ride, or simply walk the quiet paths and view new sculptures or visit the Nature Photography Exhibit inside the barn.

Event parking is $5 and food vendors will be onsite including Crank & Boom ice-cream, La Fiesta Grande, Longshot Lobsta and Mr. Gyro’s.
